Care Guide
We make our garments to be lived in and loved for years — and like anything precious, they’ll last longer with a little care.
Washing
The most gentle and garment-loving way to wash our pieces is by hand in cool water with a mild, pH-neutral soap. This helps avoid shrinkage, preserves the shape, and protects natural fibres and dyes.
That said, we also understand that life is busy — and most of our care labels will advise a cool, gentle machine wash (ideally inside out and in a laundry bag). Just skip the tumble dryer. Air dry flat or on a line instead.
If you want to be extra cautious or if the piece is especially delicate, hand wash is the way to go.
Natural Dyes
We use natural fibres and often work with hand-dyed or naturally dyed fabrics. These dyes are alive — they’ll evolve with time, fade beautifully with wear, and soften in tone.
This is part of the beauty of working with nature: each garment will age uniquely.
We recommend washing separately or with like colours the first few times, and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight when drying, just to be safe.
Other Tips
Avoid harsh detergents, bleaches, and fabric softeners.
Iron on low heat if needed, or embrace the crumples — most of our fabrics wear them well.
Store folded rather than hanging if the garment is heavy or stretchy to avoid misshaping.
If in doubt, treat your garment like you would a favourite book: keep it clean, keep it dry, and handle it with care.
